Dear Friends, October 2011
WOW! Where does the time go? It’s hard to believe we are only five weeks away
from Thanksgiving.
Our family has so much to be thankful for this year. Our son finished his one year
assignment in Afghanistan and was returned to us safely. Praise God! We just
spent a week with his family at our house and had a wonderful time. It sure is
different having a 4 year old and a 20 month old in the house though. This
grandma was exhausted after a week. They have now traveled to New York where
he will begin working at West Point Academy for two years.
Our daughter has finished nursing school and has passed her NCLEX (state boards)
and has received her license in both Illinois and Iowa and is currently working at
Mercy Hospital in Clinton, IA in the Peds/OB Units and she thoroughly loves it.
The rest of us are blessed enough to still have jobs to go to everyday in spite of the
economy. We have all been healthy and give our thanks to God every day but
especially during this Thanksgiving season.
